I hope everyone had a Happy New Years celebration. Personally, I would like to thank the members that attended our November meeting for electing me as President for a second 2-year term. With the support of the FBI Louisville Field Office, I am excited about what 2025 will bring.
As we enter the new year, here is an update on InfraGard and the Kentucky Chapter.
Website:
This website has undergone a significant change. Mid-year 2024, we lost access to the previous host and set out to rebuild the website on a new platform. It has been a struggle as a couple of us were tasked with learning WordPress and recreating the site from scratch. As of Jan. 9, 2025, the website was brought online as a single landing page while development of supporting pages continues. The hosting is being provided to IKMA at no-charge by me, Jim Eastridge. I will continue to offer this to the chapter as long as I am a member. Additionally, I am committed to supporting a transition to another platform, should that be deem necessary by future IKMA leadership. The IKMA Board recognizes the importance of this communication tool and will continue to develop the website to fit the needs of our organization.
Email Addresses:
To facilitate more direct communications to our Board and Sector Chiefs, we have established email accounts for each position. Because the positions are periodically reelected or reappointed, the communications channels can be maintained and preserved throughout those transitions. These accounts will be active as of February 1, 2025. Positions that are vacant will have the email account monitored by another person until the position is filled. Please visit our Contact Us page for more information.
Congratulations:
At our meeting in November, we recognized and congratulated the accomplishments of two of our members.
Dr. Earl Mozter was recognized for his contributions and achievements at both the national and state level of InfraGard. On September 22, 2024, Earl was recognized at InfraGard Congress for his outstanding achievements and over 20 years of service to InfraGard. After declaring September 22 as IKMA’s Dr. Earl Mozter Day, Earl was presented with a plaque that stated “Dr. Earl Mozter Day. In Recognition and Appreciation for over 20 years of Dedication, this day will serve as a reminder to the members of InfraGard Kentucky Member Alliance to Stive for Excellence in Service.” An email will be sent to our members each September as a reminder to strive for excellence in service to our nation, our state, and our local communities in a way similar to Earl’s service.
Dick Bartlett was also recognized for his regional award presented to him at InfraGard Congress. Dick received the 2024 Regional Sector Chief of the Year Award for his achievements in the IKMA Healthcare and Public Health Sector as the Sector Chief. Dick’s commitment to the distribution of information, support of his sector, and his work in cross-sector events goes above and beyond his peers. On behalf of the Board, we thank Dick for his continued hard work and appreciate his dedication to IKMA and the Healthcare and Public Health Sector.
Election Results:
Members voted to re-elect Jim Eastridge as President and Michael Ramage as Secretary for an additional 2-year term. We both appreciate the honor of serving in these capacities.
The Board also appointed Robert Campbell as Meeting Coordinator. In addition to coordinating logistics of our member meetings, Robert will be working with the Sector Chiefs to facilitate meetings via our Go-To Meeting platform. Go-To will also be used for select IKMA Chapter meetings when the information addressed is not classified or deemed sensitive by the presenters.
More information about current Board Members, including how to contact us, can be found on the Contact Us page.
Last Thoughts:
I would like to thank the Board members for their service and contributions to the success of our chapter. We are all looking forward to more productive meetings and a renewed partnership with SAC Stansbury, ASAC Barnett, our PSC Special Agent Johnson. A special thanks to them and the agents of the Louisville Field Office that participated and contributed to our meeting on November 21st.
Please continue to visit the website for more news and updates. The InfraGard Portal will be used to announce meetings and to alert to any time-sensitive webpage updates.
